Northern B.C.'s shop local program, “Small Town Love,” reached a major milestone in January 2016. The program, originally launched in 2013, grew beyond anyone’s wildest expectations and was adopted by communities throughout Northern Development’s entire service region.
With more than 60 incorporated and unincorporated communities and more than 1,500 independent, locally-owned businesses participating, the program became the largest shop local initiative in Canada and provided an opportunity to gain exposure for one of the most unique, diverse and eclectic regions in the world. This project included the renaming and development of a visual identity to represent the program.
