Why Economic Development?
The strength of the provincial, local, regional and Indigenous economies is critical to supporting all citizens in BC.
Although many say it, British Columbia is truly “open for business.” Municipalities, Regional Districts and First Nations invest over $60 million annually in Economic Development and Tourism programming. They do this because they are committed to ensuring the economic and social well-being of their residents.
The BC Economic Development Association works hard to leverage that investment by supporting the professionals charged with guiding their community’s efforts through enhanced marketing activities, and professional development programs and materials. About BCEDA
