The Christina Lake Insider mobile app was launched by Gateway using the 468 Insider platform provided by BCEDA and 468 Communications. The app works from your smartphone using GPS & is a wayfinding tool that offers a reward to users for shopping local.
The app's Explore button opens a map of Christina Lake which has pins, indicating all our community has to offer, outdoor recreation destinations, community services, lodging locations, attractions sites, etc.
Clicking on a pin brings up information or tells a story about that place encouraging a user to visit that location. Locations have points assigned to them & are collected when the user is within GPS range.
Pushing the "Collect Points" button while physically at a location will add the location's points to a user's point total. Points accumulated can then be redeemed for goods or services at local businesses.
