The City of Prince George saw an opportunity to grow the clean technology sector in Prince George and the region due to the presence of a large number of clean technology firms and a strong bioenergy sector (pellets, co-gen, and biocarbon).
The goal of the clean technology project is to establish a clean technology cluster in Prince George and the surrounding region, to identify and expand clean technology opportunities in the area, and to accelerate progress and build capacity within businesses through coaching and workshops.
This project also involves developing marketing materials to promote the goods and services produced by members of the clean technology cluster and attending domestic and international clean technology events.
